This video chronicles the desert near Las Vegas being overtaken by hundreds of tiny houses, which shrivel up and are replaced by new, bigger houses, pushing the old structures aside. I took advantage of the fugitive nature of gelatin to comment on the nature of suburban growth and the housing economy in Las Vegas.
I produced this video for a show called Off the Map, in which I also created a site-specific installation of the same Jell-O houses installed on the inside of large gallery windows. View photographs of the installation here.
