Lenticular art installation at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) – Neuroscience Unit

1201 W La Veta Ave, Orange, CA 92868 (recently installed, not open to the public)

This installation draws on themes of constellations, energy, and movement. Evolving out of my earlier project at the Rengstorff Park Aquatics Center in Mountain View, this piece continues my exploration of lenticular photography as a medium for visual transformation and quiet engagement.

Composed of layered photographs of the Pacific Ocean, the imagery emits a celestial energy that evokes stars, planets, and atmospheric gasses in a nod to the hospital’s vision for this healing space. As viewers move past the piece, the images shift and distort, offering a moment of gentle discovery.

Lenticular prints use a series of optical lenses to create the illusion of depth and motion. Much like constellations themselves, the composition changes depending on where you stand — inviting patients, families, and staff to return to it again and again.
